PHILUMINA AWARD WINNING TURNKEY HYPERSPECTRAL IMAGING SYSTEMS


The PHILUMINA Product Line measures the intensity of reflected energy from any given target at hundreds of narrow wavelengths and stores that information in a digital image format, called a hyperspectral image. Each image contains a complete reflectance spectrum from a given range (UV/VNIR/SWIR) of nanometers for every picture element in the image.

The PHILUMINA Product Line incorporates a line scanning technique that requires no relative movement between the target and the sensor. This unique capability eliminates the need to use liquid crystal tunable filters that suffer from relatively low throughput. The UV, VNIR 400 & SWIR Series uses a prism-grating-prism to separate incoming light into component wavelengths, a method that attenuates less energy, and is therefore especially useful when high signal-to-noise ratios are important.
